Independent Driving : The New Driving Test
A major change to the driving test is being introduced in October 2010. This will see independent driving become a part of the test. For part of your test (around ten minutes), the examiner will ask you to either follow a series of directions or traffic signs or a mixture of both. This is to try to make the test more like real driving and isn't anything to worry about. In fact, to make room for this, you will be asked to perform only one, rather than two, set manoeuvres so it could be good news for some! You will of course get plenty of chance to practice independent driving during your lessons with me and you can read more about it
here.
